My husband, Greg, and I have taught Financial Peace University since 2009.

This is something that we do as a ministry out of our church and therefore do not make any profits from the class.

When you join our class the only thing that we ask you to buy is the FPU kit.

I am really excited about teaching this next year because Dave Ramsey has come out with a new FPU kit.  The kit includes audio c.d.’s of all the lesson, envelopes, workbook, the “Complete Guide to Money” book, etc.

Not only will you receive a lot as far as materials, but you will also be filled with knowledge about savings, debt, mortgages, insurance, etc.

Don’t just think that FPU deals only with debt. We have had many people come to our classes who are debt-free, college students, single mothers, older men/women, drowning in debt, etc.

We have a melting pot of people every year and I absolutely love it!

Every night we start with praises and Greg allows people to share a success they have had over the course of a week.

I have had people say that they had paid off a credit card, sold a vehicle, got paid $500 for a survey, bought a needed appliance, etc.

I love how FPU is changing lives in our community.  Also, don’t feel like you have to be a part of our church.  Probably 90% of our participants do not attend our church and we welcome them with open arms.

We have heard many times how people don’t see the point in this class and they are only here because a relative wanted them to sign up.  They come in depressed and often discouraged and it shows on their faces.

Then in about 2 weeks you see something change in them.  You realize that they now have hope.  They leave smiling after every lesson and ask more questions.  They start building relationships with others around them and realize they’re not the only people on the planet who have a spending problem.

So, why not try it out?  Maybe you’re in the same boat as we were.  Come join us.  Let us help you find that hope again.

Our next class will be held in February 2013.   We already have the kits ordered for next year!
