I have had a lot of people come to me in the past several weeks asking for financial help. Some need help finding extra money for savings, others are ready to retire but just need a little extra to get them to that point, and some are ready to destroy some debt.
This is what I love doing and I’m glad that God has laid it on the heart of others to seek out help. This is something that Greg and I rarely did. We were fearful of what others would think of us if they knew how much debt we had accrued. We were embarrassed and honestly didn’t know where to start.
We were making over $75,000 a year in bring home pay and for five years I can’t tell you where that money even went. We spent it faster than we would get it in and accrued many overdraft fees. We were living paycheck to paycheck and to this day I can’t even tell you what happened to that money.
Now we are making less money (somewhere around $60,000 in take home pay) and this is what we’ve been able to accomplish so far with living on the same principles that I can teach you. We have…
- paid off $53,000 worth of debt
- paid for (2) cars, an air-conditioner unit, appliances, and home repairs using cash
- created an emergency fund (at one point saving $10,000)
- worked together as a team
None of this would have been possible without fully relying on the great God that we serve and He showed us long ago that we didn’t need more money. We needed to learn how to save, spend, and have fun with our money but in a biblical sense.
I would love to show you how to do the same. This summer I am offering a special on my one-on-one coaching services, but this will be for a limited time only. I will be glad to give you a free consultation to see if this is something that interests you and then for the price that you pay for a pedicure we can get started on changing your financial life.
Let me help you achieve financial prosperity to create a wealthier you! Greg and I will retire millionaires and I would love to show you how to do the same. Feel free to click this link or message me at email@example.com for more information. I look forward to hearing from you!Read More

This is that time of year when it seems like my head is spinning. I feel like there is so much going on and I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. And I’m on Christmas Break for 2 weeks! You think I’d be pretty good at this by now since I’ve done this for 13 years. Sometimes I’m so busy that I forget to appreciate some of the little things that come my way.
Something you may not know about me it that I’m a third grade teacher. I have been teaching since 2003 and it definitely has its ups and downs, just like any other job. I try to focus more on the ups than the downs, and this holiday season God has laid it on my heart to tell you a story.
Today I was cleaning off my table and I came across this present that I received this past week. This was given to me by a 9-year-old girl in my first period class. Do you know what it is?
When I unwrapped it from the red Christmasy gift wrapping, I instantly thought it was an earring. As I kept unwrapping, I thought “No, that can’t be it.” So I went to my co-teacher’s room to ask her if she knew what it was.
Of course, she figured it out. She said that it’s the pull cord on a lamp or ceiling fan. She told me that these are the best gifts to receive and she was right.
This gift has no monetary value, but this gift came from the heart. I received a lot of gifts last week, but this one probably meant more to me than anything else! You have to know the child that brought this to me but she is truly an angel here on earth. She is the most endearing child I have ever met.
After giving her a note that I wrote telling her “Thank You”, this was her response….
She snuck the note into my room before our Christmas parties began. One thing that you have to know about my school is that I work at a Title-1 school and with kids who don’t always have a lot. This child gave me all that she had and her words meant so much to me. It reminded of this verse in the Bible.
Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. 42 Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. 43 So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury;
Mark 12:41-43New King James Version (NKJV)
All that Jesus asks of us is that we give. Giving is my favorite part of the Christmas season. Unfortunately, I feel like I give more during Christmas than any other time.
What about you? Do you have a gift that you can give that may not cost money? Here are a few ideas…
There are so many people hurting because they have lost loved ones. They would probably love for someone just to talk to them or sit with them. There are people sitting in nursing homes who have nobody to visit them. I’m sure they would appreciate a visit from someone just like you. Consider those working during the holidays. What about taking them a card or some Christmas goodies when you are finished baking?
What do you think? How are you going to give a gift from the heart this holiday season?
By the way, don’t give expect anything in return. And if you do get something, then give the glory to God because it’s all His. And my little friend who wrote the letter and gave me the pull cord? She’s going to get something from me. I’m calling her mom this week to invite her over to my home to back Christmas cookies. And when she looks at my tree, she will see her present hanging on my tree. I can’t wait to see her face!
Hey, everyone. I just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. I also wanted to take this time to say “Thank You”.
I have encountered so many people that tell me that this little blog has helped them in so many ways but instead of thanking me, you can thank our Heavenly Father who laid this on my heart years ago.
My prayer is that you take this day to give thanks and spend time with family. I know that I’ll be doing the same with mine. Have a great Thanksgiving! ~ Whitney
